To celebrate five years of supporting education in financial literacy, an essential life skill for all Australians, the Commonwealth Bank foundation is offering FREE financial literacy programs for schools and teachers. Programs included:

  • Financial Literacy Grants - application for grants of $3,500 are now open. Schools need to apply before 17 September.
  • StartSmart Teacher Development Workshops - engaging and interactive workshops for teachers to get the latest insights and resources to teach financial literacy. These workshops are held in each capital city.
  • My Money Know How - this online learning tool is designed for teachers to increase their own money managment skills. It also gives them added confidence and knowledge when teaching financial literacy in the classroom.
  • Australian Financial Literacy Assessment (AFLA) - AFLA is now available until 26 September as a tool for teachers to measure their Year 9 and 10 students' financial literacy levels through a comparative online program.
